Building Bridges and Mediating Conflict: Core Tools and Practices for Healing and Wholeness

March 29 @ 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm UTC-5

As West African elder, Malidoma Somé says, “Conflict is the spirit of the relationship asking itself to deepen.” Join YES! Executive Director Shilpa Jain for an interactive experiential learning workshop for building bridges and working with conflicts. We’ll face what stands in our way and explore practices to become more self-aware and equipped to transform breakdowns to breakthroughs — to bring forth connection and healing, for ourselves, each other and our world.

We’ll start with the 3-I principle — of Invitation, Intentions, and I-language — and look deeply at Container-building as a vital part of preparing to work with conflicts. Appreciative inquiry as a core tool, as well as the zones of awareness and learning, and reflective mirroring, will be offered. There will also be ample space for people to bring their own struggles and questions and to engage with them in an open and supportive learning space.
Open to all with a special invitation to BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color). BIPOC breakout group option after the talk and before Q&A.
